“The essence of Spain in the heart of NYC, La Rambla will provide a uniquely cultural experience enveloping of all the senses”
A concept for a 3,000 square foot gourmet food and cookware store. I was inspired by my own Spanish heritage and a recent trip to Barcelona to create a distinctly Spanish space what was contemporary and inviting. Being the birthplace of modern day urbanization, I drew influence from the city grid lay out and the many artist who thrived in art and design at the time of the expansion, mainly Antoni Gaudi. In particular I used motifs such as fluted pillars and serpentine mural tiles to give homage to the famed architect.
